The satin finished, master grade one-piece birdseye maple neck is extremely fast, and this is accentuated by the master grade pale moon ebony fretboard. The carves of the body are so purposed, that this thing fits you like a glove when played in the classical position. The shallow depth of the body makes up for any lack of pronounced contours. The ergonomics of the body shape, combined with the lack of any heft, lend themselves to an unmatched playability. This one blows it out of the water. To start, it weighs next to nothing. Initially the VIK GT was the nicest guitar I'd ever played. But this Saviour stands out among the rest. The common denominator is that they are all very special, of course. ![]() Since this realization, I've had my hands on a number of different VIKs. Simply put, VIK guitars are on an entirely different level. VIK addresses these preferences flawlessly. After playing so many nice guitars, I came to find that mines lie at the intersection of aesthetics and playability. ![]() It wasn't until I picked up a VIK for the first time, that I realized I had found my guitar fit. Each person has their preferences when it comes to guitars. Strandberg and PRS. Each had their own idiosyncrasies and strengths/weaknesses. From Thorn to Skervesen, Mayones to Black Water.
